The Administrator is the chief administrative officer for daily operations of the Village and reports to the Village Board of Trustees and Village President. The Administrator assists in the development and implementation of legislative policies. The Administrator also manages, analyzes, supervises and evaluates all departments, divisions and services of Village government and is responsible for the duties  as outlined in the municipal code, state statutes and all other applicable laws of governance. Additionally, the Administrator maintains all financial records and documents of the Village and prepares all financial transactions, including the yearly budget.

Village Administrator Chris Anderson started with the Village of Sturtevant in September 2025. Originally from Texas, Chris started his local government career with the City of San Antonio as a Management Fellow in the City Manager's Office. After completing the fellows program, he went on to work for the Department of Aviation in a Safety Analyst role, supported the Deputy City Manager as an Executive Management Assistant, then rounded out his time with San Antonio as a Business Process Manager/Stakeholder Engagement Lead for the San Antonio International Airport's Strategic Development Plan Team. His last role in Texas before making the move to Wisconsin was with the City of Corpus Christi as the Strategic Planning and Innovation Officer. 

Once in Wisconsin, Chris worked as the Assistant Village Manager for the Village of Shorewood, just north of downtown Milwaukee. In his role there, he oversaw Human Resources functions, Communications for the Village, served as the staff liaison to three active citizen committees, and led special projects supporting the Village Manager. Accomplishments of note in this role included recommendations to the Village Board to address feedback from a staff satisfaction and well-being survey he created, and his facilitation and authorship of submissions resulting in two awards from the Public Relations Society of America, Southeast Wisconsin chapter for excellence in communications and engagement to the community.

Deputy Treasurer/Utility Clerk

Questions related to sewer billing and property tax payments should be referred to Kris Tapp, Deputy Treasurer/Utility Clerk, 262-886-7204.

The Deputy Treasurer/Utility Clerk is responsible for creating/sending sewer bills on a quarterly basis. In addition, this position handles the accounts payable/receivable functions and all administrative and accounting functions.
