Sturtevant Confirms Plans for Fireworks

Sturtevant Village Trustee Linda Busha announced today that Village President Steve Jansen has given the OK to proceed with Sturtevant plans to have its fireworks display in the evening of Tuesday July 3, 2012. Busha stated “Although there is always a possibility that the fireworks would have to be cancelled due to adverse weather conditions, Sturtevant, at the present time intends to have fireworks as part of its Independence Day Celebration on July 3rd at Fireman’s Park.
The festival begins at 4 pm and runs until 11:30 pm with kids’ games, bounce houses, face painting, food and drink for purchase, national anthem by Cheryl McCrary and music by the Brian Daniels Band.
The fireworks display will start at around 9:20 p.m. Fireman’s Park is located on Charles Street between 90th St and Wisconsin St, in Sturtevant.
