Getting started

New Articles

Creating a new article for the Megawiki is quite simple. Essentially there are no pages in a wiki, rather they are database entries. Any content can be added to the database and any content in the database can be displayed as an article.

To begin, you can go to any article you can imagine, whether it exists or not. Of course if you go to a non-existent article, there will be no content to display. When you go to a non-existent article, the general parts of a wiki still appear such as the tool bars, header and wiki graphics.

To create an article, change the URL in the address bar of your web browser and enter in the new article's name.

The above graphic shows the URL of the Main Page. Remove the part that says Main Page and replace it with the name of the article you wish to create and hit ENTER on your keyboard.

The new article will look something like this:

Notice how the words Article and Discussion are Red links yet Edit is in blue. Red links are basically links to content that does not yet exist. To begin entering content into the article, click on Edit.
