Racine Water Utility Projects

Corliss Avenue

• Services are connected. Paving of trench is schedule to begin on Monday, August 24th.

97th Street

• Racine Water Utility has started service connections on August 21st and should finish the week of August 24th. The Village will do spot repairs of the storm sewer system on Wednesday, August 26th.

During these projects, road may be temporary closed or travel may be restricted during the day. Areas will be posted with No Parking Signs during actual construction work. Questions or concerns regarding these projects should be directed to Chad Regalia, Utility Engineer at 262-636-9539.

2009 Pavement Projects - Village of Sturtevant

Buckingham Road and Buckingham Drive

• Road work and landscaping is completed.

Broadway Drive Reconstruction Project

• Final grading and base preparation for roadway is completed. Installation of asphalt is scheduled to begin the week of August 24th. There will be no parking on Broadway Drive during paving operations.

Loumos Heights Surfacing Project

• The Village has added the surfacing of Westminister Drive and Westbrook Drive in the Loumos Heights Subdivision to the 2009 Pavement Projects.
• Remedial work by the Village of Sturtevant Department of Public Works to the base course is completed . Upon completion, the contractor will then schedule surfacing of roadway. Road will be closed during this process.

2009 Sidewalk Program

• The 2009 sidewalk repair program is underway. Interested bidders can pick-up a bid packet at Crispell Snyder, 6011 Durand Avenue, Suite 500. Bid opening is scheduled for 2:00 pm on Wednesday, August 19, 2009. Work is projected to start in Early September.
